These frameworks ensure that products containing electrical components and lithium-ion batteries are collected, treated, and recycled in a safe and sustainable manner, protecting both people and the planet.

Cubralco acts as a UK Responsible Organisation for the Novopress and Z-Press ranges of press tools. We ensure that all products introduced into the UK market meet the following standards:

• Registered under the UK WEEE Regulations

• Designed and manufactured in compliance with EEE requirements

• Supported by an end-of-life take-back scheme

• Safe disposal of lithium-ion batteries and electrical components

• Full traceability for product recycling and recovery

Compliance Plans by Brand

Novopress Tools – Contractual Transfer of Obligation

For Novopress, Cubralco has implemented a contractual transfer of WEEE obligations with the manufacturer. This means that Novopress, as the original producer, retains full responsibility for the environmental management of its products under European WEEE compliance.

Cubralco ensures that:

• All Novopress press tools and chargers are supplied in accordance with current EU and UK regulations.

• Products are registered under the Novopress producer scheme for recycling and recovery.

• End users can return Novopress tools to authorised service centres for compliant treatment and disposal.

This arrangement guarantees full alignment with the Novopress global sustainability programme, maintaining traceability and transparency throughout the product lifecycle.

Z-Press Tools – UK Take-Back & Recycling Scheme

For Z-Press, Cubralco operates a UK-based take-back and recycling plan.

As the importer of Zupper-manufactured tools, Cubralco accepts responsibility for ensuring that all Z-Press products and their batteries are recovered and recycled at the end of their useful life.

Our WEEE compliance plan for Z-Press includes:

• A free take-back scheme for end-of-life tools and batteries

• Refurbishment, reuse, and recycling of components wherever possible

• Responsible lithium-ion battery management and recovery

• Compliance with WEEE, EEE, and battery regulations under UK law

• Partnership with certified recycling partners for sustainable processing

This initiative supports our broader circular-economy approach — helping to reduce waste, reuse valuable materials, and recycle responsibly across our entire product range.
